Great bike shop. I have used them a few times after multiple recomendations from others and both times the service has been excellent. They take the time to walk you through what options you have available and then are very quick with their work.
I purchased a Carbon Transition Scout from the Bike Shed, yesterday. Incredible service, they even shimmed the dropper post to accommodate my height and set the suspension up for my weight in store. Did I mention they sell the best woolly hats ever?! Myself and my partner both got one! You just don’t get this level of service with the big chains or online stores. An absolute bargains, to boot.
Received great service here on the last 2 occasions here. First time was when they fitted some forks In hadn't bought from therea. Most recently they fitted new brakes for me. I relation to the brakes I initially emailed for advice. Ben was quick to get back to me with product advice in line with my budget. I booked in and offered a deposit to secure my place but this wasn't required. Brakes were done in an hour or so when promised. Whilst at the shop I wanted some advice on other products and Olly couldn't have been more help even though I wasn't buying at the particular time. Prices aren't the cheapest (by this I mean they are not heavily discounted like winstanley's, merlin cycles etc.) however I had issues with forks that I bought from one of these sites being defective from the off. I would rather pay a little bit more (full retail) and have the peace of mind that the items are new and benefit from the friendly , helpful advice given by the bike shed. I live a good hour away and there are numerous bike shops closer to me (some big dealerships) but i'd rather bypass all of these and travel the extra distance to here based on the service I've had. It also gives me an excuse to try out the new parts around Afan
We hired three bikes and were lucky to have same day availability! but I do recommend you book in advance! The service is friendly and and professional, but more importantly the bikes were literally new and superb quality! The cost of hire depends on what you have; we only wanted half days hire, but weren't offered this and had to hire the bikes for the day... Being newbies to mountain biking, after 3 hours, we were done and exhausted! The trails are all perfectly signposted and there is different trails for beginners to those die hard Red Bull riders!
Friendly and professional! 🤔🧐👌👊🤙 These guy's were great! We gave them a rough idea of the issues with my bike! Not only did they fix the problem ( new disc brakes, a bleed and revamp on the hydraulic system!) they went above and beyond, they adjusted the handlebars so they were closer to centre and pivoted them for a more comfortable ride/position! And the price was reasonable and we had a call back to collect my bike within the hour!! Forgive my bad memory... but the chap was either called Ollie or Owen! 👌🤙 Top service Sir! I will recommend you to all my fellow comrades 👌🥰💪🤙
